Sophia Antipolis, September 14, 2022: The potential of IoT technologies to improve the lives of people across Europe through the digital, green and eHealth revolutions will be a key focus of this year’s ETSI IoT week and conference.

Held in Sophia Antipolis, France from October 10-14, ETSI IoT Week is an annual event for organizations and stakeholders interested in IoT services and areas of operation. Conference speakers will include regulators, academics and practitioners from leading IoT companies across Europe.

There will also be a technology demonstration section that will include presentations showing how IoT can be used for public protection and disaster relief, as well as how it can support the latest in unmanned aircraft management. Previous participants include industry, SMEs, R&D and academia, decision makers and policy makers, users of IoT standards such as cities, governments and societal stakeholders.

“ETSI IoT Week is an excellent opportunity to connect with other IoT stakeholders and actively shape the future of IoT solutions and standards,” said Enrico Scarrone, chairman of the ETSI Smart M2M technical committee. “Providing attendees with an up-to-date overview of the latest global trends and innovations in IoT technologies, the gathering has become a must-attend event for anyone involved in IoT who understands the importance of standards-enabled technologies for IoT service implementations « .

As communication between organizations and stakeholders is key to the successful innovation and implementation of IoT technologies, ETSI IoT Week provides a platform for stakeholders to interact directly as part of a series of events: a tutorial on ontologies and semantic interoperability for the IoT on 10 October and the four-day conference with events from 11 to 14 October.
